The story of a half alien boy, Cat. He grew up in filth and squalor on the streets of the Old City until one day his mental talents were recognized. He was recruited and trained to help find and stop a mental terrorist.
Some descriptions call Cat an anti-hero. As far as I can tell, he's just weakminded. He stumbles from one event to another, barely understanding what is happening, constantly the pawn of the people around him. He seems to be just a self absorbed adolescent, who can also read minds.
